LINING MATERIALS

MICROFIBRE LINING FOR FOOTWEAR

Microfibre is a synthetic fiber finer than one denier thread. This is 1/100th the diameter of a human hair and 1/20th the diameter of a strand of silk. The most common types of microfibers are made from polyesters or a conjugation of polyester, polyamide, and polypropylene.

In shoemaking microfiber material is used for uppers, linings and heel grips for its specific characteristics, including softness, toughness, absorption, water repellency  and breathability capabilities.

Microfibre shoe liners can be coated and treated in various ways depending on the application, to achieve the desired finish and feel.

Typical thicknesses for linings are 0.70 - 0.80 mm and for uppers 1.25 - 1.75mm

Available in any colour upon request. Minimum order quantities apply.
